BarcBH Animal Shelter

A Safe Hub Place for Dogs to Begin Again

At BarcBH Safe Hub, we provide a calm and caring environment for dogs who need time, understanding, and a second chance. We are a small, independent animal shelter in the United Kingdom, focused on giving each dog individual care and the opportunity to find a loving, responsible home.

We work with a limited number of dogs so we can truly get to know them — their personalities, needs, and stories. This allows us to support thoughtful adoption, built on trust, patience, and long-term commitment.

Whether you are here to learn more about adoption, meet our dogs, or simply understand how we work, you are always welcome at BarcBH

How You Can Help – Become a BarcBH Volunteer

Volunteering with Animals

If you are an active person, care about animals, have some free time, and want to do something meaningful — you can become part of the BarcBH volunteer team and help dogs in need.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to make a real difference. By giving your time and attention, you help improve the daily lives of dogs while supporting the work of our shelter.

What Does It Mean to Be a Volunteer?

A volunteer is someone who freely and willingly takes part in activities that benefit the community, without expecting payment. At BarcBH, volunteers are an essential part of our work.

As a volunteer, you may help with:

  • spending time with dogs (walks, play, socialisation);
  • assisting with daily care and routines;
  • supporting adoption days or events;
  • helping with basic tasks around the shelter;
  • sharing our mission and helping raise awareness.

Every contribution matters, no matter how much time you can offer.

Why Volunteer with BarcBH?

  • You directly help dogs feel safe, calm, and cared for
  • You become part of a small, dedicated, and supportive team
  • You gain meaningful experience working with animals
  • You make a positive impact through simple, kind actions
